You did not kill him. He GAVE himself.

Yes. You DID NOT kill him. He gave himself!

Good friday is here again and as usual I know some of my Christian brethren who are in the “sober” mood and having a “mind reflection” while mind reflection is very much needed for repentance I want to share something a lot of us have gotten wrong in this christian faith.

The fact that Jesus died because we needed reconciliation with the Father. The father saw that all had sinned (that is, missed the mark) and all needed redemption. We didn’t suggest salvation to the Father (God) He knew we needed redemption because trust me he is obsessed with us. He LOVES us that much and so extravagantly!

So if you’re still crying over good friday then you do not yet have understanding. If Good friday for you is about tears and not eating meat to commemorate with the pain Jesus had at the cross then your mind is still VEILED!

Yes. Good friday represents the effort and sacrifice at the cross and yes once in a while you can have an epiphany about the cross that brings you to tears but YOU SHOULD KNOW that the cross represents forgiveness and LOVE personified.

Who wouldn’t be glad to be loved so extensively? To be FORGIVEN without deserving it ? To know that nothing you DO ERASES this love? Because what can separate us from this love?

“For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced–beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
‭‭ROMANS‬ ‭8:38-39‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The effort at the cross has been OVERCOME because he has risen!

I am soooo excited about the effort at the cross. I am happy that God loves me so much that he GAVE his son.

We didn’t kill him. He GAVE himself to be killed. He fulfilled scripture!

Jesus said it himself in John‬ ‭10:17-18‬ “The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life—only to take it up again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.””
Even Isaiah said it ““Yet the LORD was willing To crush Him, causing Him to suffer; If He would give Himself as a guilt offering [an atonement for sin], He shall see His [spiritual] offspring, He shall prolong His days, And the will (good pleasure) of the LORD shall succeed and prosper in His hand.” ISAIAH‬ ‭53:10‬ ‭

And then Apostle paul confirmed it in Galatians 1:3-4 when he said “Grace to you and peace [inner calm and spiritual well-being] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave Himself [as a sacrifice to atone] for our sins [to save and sanctify us] so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, in accordance with the will and purpose and plan of our God and Father”

I am thankful for the sacrifice at the cross. I rejoice always knowing that I win because of the sacrifice at the cross. I glory in this with an UNVEILED mind. Aware of my freedom.
That in Christ.

“for where the spirit of the lord is, there is freedom” 2 Cor 3:17

He is risen! Halleluyah!

  1. 👏👏👏 I think it’s safe to say most of us weep tears of joy that God didn’t want heaven without us so he sent Jesus for us to crucify 2000 years ago and everyday just to bridge the gap we created between us and him. The right reason to weep is amazing grace but Jesus death is thing of joy!
